The SG-101B is a microprocessor driven central control unit which computes real-time multicolored signals representing received navigation flight data and generates the graphics display drive signals that are sent to the EFIS cockpit display units. In addition, all aircraft attitude, heading, navigation and guidance data, displayed by the EFIS, are received and processed by the SG-101B. The SG-101B operates at a max altitude of +55,000 feet and in the temperature range of -55°C to +70°C. The rack mounted SG-101B is 6.14 inches wide, 12.62 inches deep, 8.06 inches high and weighs 15.00 pounds maximum.
The SG-101B Symbol Generator is a completely solid-state microprocessor-controlled central control unit which computes real-time multicolored graphic display symbols, these display symbols represent the navigational and attitude flight data that are received from the aircraft and navigation converter. The SG-101B generates graphic display symbols that are sent to the EADI and EHSI display units.
