The Collins ALI-80A panel-mounted Barometric Altimeter displays the digital data from the ADC-80 Air Data Computer on a 5-digit numerical readout and a pointer. The ALI-80A altitude display shows the least significant digits in multiples of hundreds. The ALI-80A displays altitude between -1,000 feet and + 50,000 feet. The ALI-80A's pointer displays 1,000 feet per revolution with scale marks every 20 feet. The ALI-80A's barometric 4-digit displays indicates wither inches of mercury (inHg) or millibar (MB). The ALI-80A has an extended correction range of 22.00 to 32.00 inHg which allows QFE settings so the altimeter reads zero at field elevation. The barosetting is stored indefinitely during power-off conditions and restored to the last setting upon returning to power.
The ALI-80A has variations available with blue-white lighting or clear-white lighting, 5V or 28V, Gray or Black bezel color, and some versions with High Intensity Radiate Field (HIRF). The ALI-80A is 3.380 inches high, 9.27 inches long, 3.380 inches wide and weighs 3.1 pounds maximum.
